Halloween to Christmas

Aunt Gin sent Brooklyn an amazing homemade Halloween costume, including cape, mask & power belt.  Brooklyn was "BB the superhero".  She loved handing out the candy at our house, however was sad after the kids left the house.

Nana & Papa came to visit to help out when Kevin was traveling for work.  She & Brooklyn were doing their exercises.

Grandma & Grandpa also made a visit in November. Brooklyn loves her visits from family.

This is our Charlie brown Christmas tree.  We actually went with friends Heidi & Jason and cut down our own tree this year (a first for Kevin).  We had a great time, although our picking out skills will need to be enhanced next year.  Those trees look so different out in the forest!

Brooklyn is really working on her potty training skills.  We take a few steps forward and a few steps back, but she's off & on interested in using the "big girl potty" along with reading a book while relaxing.

Happy to say there are some pictures, before the gingerbread house came crumbling down.  It's not as easy as it looks to keep the house up, without braces underneath.  Brooklyn also came to tears after I told her she had eaten enough candy.

"pre" Christmas event in Boise.  We flew out on Christmas Eve to California, so opened our gifts the night before.

LA Zoo with Nana.  They had some cool, big animals that we don't have in Boise.

Brooklyn with her animal buddies.  Shotsy (above) at Nana's house and Tahoe(below) her dog pillow in Boise.

Family photos from October.  My friend & co-worker Heidi, graciously took these beautiful pictures for us.  She did an amazing job, with a not always cooperative Brooklyn.  Eventually, Brooklyn warmed up to the camera and wanted to smile for Heidi.

In early October, good friends Kate & Kinley came and visited us from Fairbanks.  They just recently moved up there and Kate was taking a break before she started working as a real life doctor at TVC.  The girls are about 6 weeks apart and have strengths in different areas.  It's great to see them together and Kate and I are happy that they can co-exist without wanting to kill each other.

Brooklyn isn't so happy about not getting the refrigerator door closed.

Pictures from the fall around Halloween.

Yes, she is naked. She really enjoys walking around without her clothes on and wanted to go and help dad "rake" up the leaves.

Several places in Boise set up carnivals around Halloween.  This one is out in the farm lands south of town on a family farm.  They have a pretty large corn maze, including paint ball & zombies.  Much too, too much for us youngsters, but they also have a lot of activities for little kids too.  There was a hay stack, baby hay maze, corn pit, petting zoo and off course hay ride out to the pumpkin patch.

Brooklyn was very particular about the "pumpkin" she picked out (AKA: gourd).  She also wanted a baby white pumpkin.  It was a beautiful day to be out.
