Happy Father's Day (last weekend) to Kevin!  We went on a family outing which included going to the highest peak (nearby) of Ester Dome, then down to the river and park.  Brooklyn is so luck to have such a wonderful dad.  He loves spending time with his little girl and feels so blessed to have her as a daughter. 

 

Last weekend was quite warm, high 80's-90, so we went out to Chena Lakes to enjoy some pretty cool water.  Brooklyn in her rash guard with sunscreen was pretty comfortable in the water.   She seems to really like water in whatever form (bath, lake or swimming pool).

 

 

 

Brooklyn has a new music board full of many voices, songs & languages and she is loving it.

 

She is walking!  As of June 4th, she is a walker.  Although this picture looks like she is running, she hasn't quite tackled that task.

Along with walking, Brooklyn is now a climber.  Including the baby gate, she has also climbed on top of the above mentioned music board.

10 Months has gone by so quickly.  Our precious girl is full of fun, energy & spunk.  At the ten month time she is: squatting to a standing position, cruising, taking 2-3 steps at a time, preferring to feed herself & eating mostly mom & dad foods, has 7 teeth (that was a rough few days when 3 came it at the same time) and climbing on pretty much anything she can.

 

 The leaves were just finally starting to blossom on the trees and dad was showing her how everything changes so fast.

 

 

 Carrots are way better to chew on and make my teeth feel better.  Plus they don't thaw & mush up like the frozen asparagus do.

 She has figured out how to get herself behind & underneath the stove.  She thought she was so clever!  When winter comes this will have to be barracked off for obvious reasons.

 

 

A family outing to the Musk Ox Farm to see the baby Musk Ox & Reindeer.  This is a yearling willing to come out of the shade, on a warm summer day, for the willow leaves. Brooklyn thought they were pretty cool, but didn't quite like the feel of the coarse fur.  We met some friends there and also ran into a group of friends, whose 6 & 7 yr. old daughters really liked playing & picking up Brooklyn.  She was very patient & I think enjoyed the attention.
